This year's draw has a very new feel to it, with none of the ‘Big Three' featuring in California this week, while current holder Dominic Thiem also remains out with injury. That means we're guaranteed a new winner of this event, with those four having taken the title in 14 of the last 16 renewals. US Open champion Daniil Medvedev looks the one to beat as he moves up to top seed following the late withdrawal of Novak Djokovic. Check out our preview and predictions for one of the most popular events on calendar.
After a year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Paribas Open is back at Indian Wells, though there's a much weaker look about the draw this time around. 23 time Grand Slam winner Serena Williams will miss out here through injury, Naomi Osaka continues her hiatus from the sport, while world number one Ash Barty has decided to take this opportunity to fly home and be with her family in Australia for this two week period at least. That leaves this draw wide open, and many eyes will be on US Open Champion and Wildcard Emma Raducanu as she makes her WTA 1000 debut and her first appearance since lifting the title in New York. The Brit will head into this as 17th seed, with Karolina Pliskova the number one seed here in California. Check out our preview and predictions for one of the most popular events on calendar.
We’re back at Flushing Meadows as Novak Djokovic looks to become the first man since Rod Laver in 1969 to win all four Grand-Slam titles in the same calendar year, and he’ll never have a better chance to do so. Defending champion Dominic Thiem has withdrawn through injury after a tumultuous year in the sport, while Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer are also absentees making Nole the odds-on favourite. That’s not the only record the Serbian would break by winning this, as he’s currently one of three players on 20 Grand Slam wins, with no one ever having won more. Get into the Flushing Meadows action with our preview for the men's draw for the US Open
This will be the 141st edition of the US Open as we head back to the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Centre in New York. Although the qualifying rounds have restricted the attendance of fans, we’re expecting a full house for the tournament starting on 30th August. Prior to Naomi Osaka winning here last year, each of the previous five champions lifted the title for the very first time, as only Angelique Kerber had previously lifted a Slam before winning. That trend didn’t continue last year though, with Osaka winning back her 2018 title, and it looks all to play for this time around with a strong field headed for New York. Serve up the winning ace with our preview for the women's US Open draw.
