The Hammers continue to march on with a 3-2 win over Liverpool last time out their most impressive performance this season to date.
Across all competitions, West Ham are W11-D4-L2 this term as their European commitments haven’t derailed them.
They’re currently on a seven-game unbeaten streak which has seen them record league wins over Everton, Tottenham, Villa and Liverpool, as well as a victory on penalties over Man City in the League Cup.
The recent win over Liverpool did come at a cost, with Angelo Ogbonna suffering an ACL injury, though with the likes of Kurt Zouma, Craig Dawson and Issa Diop in the squad, David Moyes isn’t short of centre-back options.
There’s better news elsewhere and although neither Andriy Yarmolenko or Nikola Vlasic are regular starters, both are set to return to the squad and strengthen options from the bench in attack.
More importantly, the crucial midfield axis of Tomas Soucek and Declan Rice should both be available here.
The former was a surprising omission from the starting line-up in the Czech Republic’s last outing, remaining on the bench throughout, though it would appear that he was only being rested.
Meanwhile, Rice has had sufficient time to recover from illness that forced him to pull out of the England squad.
West Ham To Win
Wolves had won four of five unbeaten games before a 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace prior to the international break, with the setback still leaving them up in eighth place in the table.
However, it’s worth noting that those victories were garnered against Southampton, Newcastle, Aston Villa and Everton, all of whom currently reside in the bottom half of the table.
In fact, only three of Wolves’ 11 league games this season have come against teams currently occupying a top-half spot, losing each of these by 1-0 or 2-0 scorelines, while they also went down 1-0 to an underperforming Leicester outfit.
West Ham can briefly move up to second in the table with a fifth league win on the bounce here, with Man City not playing until Sunday afternoon, and will feel confident having done the double over Wolves last term.
