Recent Form

Defeat here and that will spell the end of Sheffield United in the Premier League, though relegation has been a foregone conclusion for some time now and the club will almost certainly be plotting their route back into the Premier League.

It seemed, momentarily, that the Blades may make a resurgence in January after winning three games in five matches, though it’s been business as usual since them with eight defeats from nine matches, which led to the sacking of long term manager Chris Wilder.

In their eight most recent of those games, they’ve scored just twice and conceded 18 goals, so there’ve very little to suggest they can get a victory here, especially when you consider they’ve managed just four points from a possible 45 on the road this season.

Wolves have been in indifferent form, which has led them to a mid-table place with very little to play for.

They would have been hoping to be challenging for a Europa League spot at the very least this season, though the injury Raul Jimenez sustained put a massive dent in those hopes and they’ll already have one eye on next season.

Adama Traore managed his first assist of the season against West Ham, and followed that up with his first goal against Fulham last weekend.

That goal saw them take the spoils and resign the cottagers to a fifth defeat in six games, and this one might just follow a similar pattern.

Draw/Wolves HT/FT

Of those 18 goals the Blades have conceded in their last eight games, only five have come in the first half as they tend to capitulate after the break.

Wolves also are one of the slowest starters in the league this season, and have managed just two first half goals in their last 12 games, and one in their last nine.

Four of Wolves’ last five wins have come as Draw/Win Half-time/Full-time results, with the other as they came from behind at the break to beat 10-man Arsenal, so that certainly holds value for us here.

Draw Wolves -1 Handicap

The other market that holds value is the winning margin. While Sheffield United have been notably poor at times this season, they often remain competitive in matches, especially on the road. Indeed, excluding the top-five sides in the table, seven of the Blades’ nine defeats on the road this season have come by just one goal, while Nuno Espirito Santo’s side haven’t won by more than a single strike since October, so the one goal win looks a good bet here.

Draw/Wolves HT/FT At 3/1

Draw (Wolves -1 Handicap) At 9/4
