Liverpool hammered their Merseyside rivals on Wednesday night, a 4-1 outing left the Toffees in disarray with only two points gained from their last eight Premier League games, the lowest in the league over that period.
Mohamed Salah carried on his scoring ways netting two against Everton, the first of which was a very classy finish. The Egyptian wizard now has more than double the goal contributions as anyone this season with 21, Jamie Vardy and Emmanuel Dennis are joint second with 10.
Wolves on the other hand are on a great run of form with 15 points from their last eight games. It must be said that they have had a very easy start to the season, having only played one team inside the top seven.
Although they managed to win that game against West Ham 1-0, it’s the only goal they’ve managed to score against a current top-12 side, losing all five other fixtures to nil, so Wolves have a lot to prove in this game with it being their first real challenge of the season.

Since Wolves have come back in the Premier League (2018/19) they have only managed to put one goal past Liverpool in six matches.
However, the Wanderers managed to get a victory over Liverpool in the third round of the FA Cup where the game finished 2-1, though that was against a heavily weakened side which didn’t feature a single regular starting player.
Liverpool have averaged exactly two goals per game over the course of those six head-to-heads.
For this match, we are expecting Liverpool to carry on scoring the way they are. Despite Wolves’ good record this season they haven’t faced anyone close to the talent that Liverpool possess, with Mohamed Salah still in the form of his life there isn’t a better time to be betting on goals.
