Recent Form

Wolves’ heavy schedule appears to be taking its toll as they’ve lost three of their last four outings, with only a 95th-minute equalizer at Selhurst Park on Sunday preventing it from becoming four in a row.

However, a match at home to a Reading side that have lost their last three games is as good an opportunity as they could have hoped for to get back on track.

Despite suffering defeats in their last two at Molineux, Wolves’ form there remains very good going back to early January.

Those two losses came in tricky clashes with Chelsea and Portuguese outfit Sporting Braga, and prior to that they’d won 12 of 16 unbeaten matches – including victories over Liverpool, Man Utd (twice) and Arsenal.

Wolves To Win To Nil

Overall, they faced ‘Big Six’ opposition in a third of those 18 games in total, and excluding those, they kept a clean sheet in six out of 12.

It’s noticeable that they were more adept at shutting out the weaker teams they faced, with West Ham, Cardiff, Brighton, Fulham, Northern Ireland side Crusaders and Armenian outfit Pyunik all drawing a blank.

Wolves To Win 2-0

Reading haven’t had too much contact with Premier League sides in recent times but since March 2016, they’ve lost all six such encounters in the FA Cup or the League Cup.

They failed to score in any of these games as they lost five of them 2-0 and the other 4-0, while they were already behind at the break in five of them too.

It wasn’t merely a case of the ‘Big Six’ putting them to the sword either, as Palace, Swansea and Watford all discarded them by that 2-0 scoreline.

Wolves To Win To Nil At 17/10

Wolves 2-0 Correct Score At 7/1
