Recent Form
While many would traditionally consider Man United v Spurs the biggest game of the weekend, this certainly has the potential to be an absolute classic.
Leicester fans will be well aware of their demise last season, and will be crossing everything that they don’t see something similar here.
They’re five points clear of fifth placed Chelsea going into the weekend, though at this stage last season they were a bigger eight points clear and manged to fall short of expectations.
A win here and they’ll be confident of holding on to their Champions League spot, though a defeat will drag them right back into the scrap they’ll be desperate to avoid.
The good news for the Foxes here is that this will be played away from the King Power, as only Man City have a better away record than Leicester this season. They’ve only lost once on the road all season and that came at Anfield in the midst of Liverpool’s long unbeaten run, so that can certainly be forgiven.
The bad news though, is that only Man City have a better home record than the Hammers this year, so it’s going to be a difficult one to call.
Form doesn’t exactly separate these sides either, as both are W2-D1-L2 from their most recent five outings, with all four combined defeats coming against top-half outfits, and all four victories coming against that weaker bottom-half bracket. The 1x2 market could go either way, so it’s definitely worth looking elsewhere for the value bet here.
Over 2.5 And 3.5 Goals
West Ham almost threw away their second three goal lead in as many games when they came up against Wolves at the weakened, though they can thank their opponents for being wasteful on the day and gifting them three points, and there’s every reason to believe we could have just as high scoring of a game here too.
David Moyes’ men have seen over 2.5 goals land in 12 of their 15 matches against top-half sides this season, while Leicester rank fourth in the league for match goals per game.
The attacking talent on display here should be hard to stop, with Jesse Lingard finding some of the best form of his career, and Kelechi Iheanacho picking up the March Player of the Month award, so it’s surprising to see the overs market at such a long price, so half a point on both the over 2.5 and over 3.5 markets look worth getting behind.
0.5 pts: Over 2.5 Goals At 19/20
