Watford came incredibly close to clinching their first win of the season when they visited Spurs last weekend and can consider themselves incredibly unfortunate not to do so.

Bournemouth played out their own stalemate when they hosted newly promoted Norwich but will be disappointed, they had to share the spoils with a side who had just six points from their first eight games heading into it.
The Cherries have had mixed fortunes away from home. They’ve lost 13 of their last 18 games on the road since November, though it should be noted that the only bottom-half sides they lost to were relegated Cardiff, Newcastle and an in form Crystal Palace side, while they’ve beaten all of Southampton, Villa, Brighton and Huddersfield in their last nine such games with weaker sides.

That’s a vast improvement in their results away from home in recent times, as only Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool better their record on the road this term and seeing as Watford have lost five of eight winless matches Vicarage Road since downing since mid-April, so it’s surprising to see them as favourites for this one.
The head-to-head is evenly balanced with both sides going W1-D6-L1 since 2015/16, though Watford have, in recent years at least, been considered on par with Bournemouth as a middle-third club, so their current form does not seem promising that they’ll pick up their first home win in nine games against a talented Bournemouth side, and we’re happy to get behind Eddie Howe’s men draw no bet in this one.

A notable feature of this fixture in recent years have been goals. The last six encounters have seen a whopping average of four goals per game. The visitors have seen this number in five of their nine fixtures so far this season, as they continue to be involved in high scoring encounters.
The Hertfordshire club have tightened up slightly now that Sanchez Flores has returned, though it can’t be forgotten that this is same group that conceded eight goals to an admittedly outstanding Man City side, and in a game where there fans will be expecting them to play on the front foot, they could come unstuck once or twice, and at the prices the more reserved ‘Over 2.5 Goals’ looks banker material.
