Manchester United’s search for consistency goes on as they’re yet to put back-to-back Premier League victories together in nine months now.

Their highest-placed sides they’ve encountered this season have been Man City, Liverpool and Wolves, with these all coming in their last four fixtures, though Villa lost each of those games, as well suffering defeats to the likes of Spurs and Arsenal earlier in the campaign.
Villa did find the net in all but one of those matches however, and so the home win and both teams to score certainly appeals.

United should be fresh for this fixture as only four senior players travelled to Kazakhstan this week, and of those only Luke Shaw could be considered a likely first choice pick, while even he is lacking in match fitness after another spell on the sidelines.
Solskjaer’s team have been more productive at the sharp end recently since Anthony Martial returned from injury, netting three times in three of their last four matches, and though they can’t seem to keep a clean sheet, that improved output should carry them through.

Martial may have only scored one goal in the four matches he’s started since returning, though his impact on teammate Marcus Rashford is clear to see.
The English forward has now hit four goals in his past five matches and going back to the 28th December, he’s scored 11 goals in 14 matches where both he and Martial have played more than a half together, scoring in 10 of these games in total.
