In fact, they lost nine of their first 12 fixtures both home and away on their return to England’s top division, with eight coming by at least two clear goals, whilst since then, they haven’t lost by that margin in any of their subsequent nine outings, including stalemates in each of their last two against Spurs and Palace.
With this recent upturn in performances and the United side likely to be tweaked for this encounter, the Asian handicap appeals at just a shade shorter than evens.
