It’s also impossible to ignore Tottenham’ stellar home form of late, where they’ve won seven of the past eight matches and registered six clean sheets, with six of these also seeing them triumph by at least two clear goals.
Three of these did come in the Europa League against LASK, Ludogorets and Antwerp though, while home or away Tottenham have just the single clean sheet in six appearances, so Brentford will fancy their chances of getting on the scoresheet.
One of those recent fixtures saw Mourinho’s side concede when beating Championship outfit Stoke 3-1 in the last round of this competition.
Both teams have now scored in seven of Mourinho’s last eight matches in this competition, including clashes with the likes of Hull, Burton Albion, Bristol City, Derby and most recently Stoke.
Both teams have found the net in five of Brentford’s last six matches, with the exception when facing Steve Bruce’s rather conservative Magpies.
They have a strong attacking output, scoring at least twice in seven of their past 10 appearances as they drew a blank just once.
The Bees have only lost twice in their last 25 outings, but still registered twice in both losses to Preston (4-2) and Stoke (3-2).
