Kings XI took an absolute beating last time out against the Chennai Super Kings, setting a respectable total of 178 before having that chased down with over two overs left in the innings and without taking a single wicket.
That defeat has left them rooted to the bottom of the table with just the sole win in five as their bowlers aren’t complimenting some of the batsmen.
KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal have put together some big scores and are up the top of the batting rankings this season, though Kings XI success effectively stops there.
Their lack of cutting edge with the ball last time out will be of serious concern to captain Rahul, as none of their bowlers have an economy rate under 7.5 and this Sunrisers batting lineup could have a field day.
David Warner remains one of the most dangerous players in the league, managing 60 last time out despite defeat and we wouldn’t bet against him putting on a similar showing against a less potent bowling attack here.
Jonny Bairstow and Kane Williamson also hold plenty of firepower on their day, while in their victory over CSK on Friday it was middle order batsmen Priyam Garg and Abhishek Sharma that proved they can steady the ship if their star openers happen to fall early.

Winning to toss will be very important here, though Kings XI have failed to defend their first innings total in their last two such games, and this looks like a pretty one sided affair to us.
Although the Sunrisers haven’t hit the heights expected of them so far this season, a win here is exactly what they need to launch themselves back into contention in what has been an extremely tight campaign.
