There was very little to separate these two sides in the regular season, with just two points the difference and all that goes out the window now as they compete for a place in the final.
Ulster won two thirds of their regular season games, though after a blistering start winning each of their first four, they failed to carry the momentum forward through the rest of the campaign. Home advantage seems humungous this season, especially when South African sides are involved. The Stormers lost both their away trips to Ireland, though beat both Leinster and Ulster on home soil (albeit against weakened sides on both occasions).
The momentum seems to be with the hosts though, who have won nine matches on the bounce and covering the 2.5 handicap on eight of those nine occasions, and that’s the way we have to go for this one too.
