Although Jose Mourinho holds a reputation for employing a more conservative and pragmatic brand of football, it will take some time for him to sort out Tottenham’s defence on the basis of his first two games at the helm.

Both teams have found the net in 10 of Spurs’ 13 league matches this season, including in each of the past five, and there appears to be little danger of the hosts failing to score having plundered seven goals under new management already.
They put five past Bournemouth in this exact fixture last term, and given Eddie Howe’s men have conceded at least twice in all but one of their eight trips to the ‘Big Six’ or this season’s Leicester side since the start of the last campaign, both teams to score looks an inevitable outcome.

Although Tottenham aren’t completely back on track yet, the two victories under Mourinho this week will have done a lot to lift the mood of the club, particularly as the Portuguese manager appears in far brighter spirits than he’s been in for quite some time.
Given the Cherries have lost 12 of 13 league trips to the ‘Big Six’ since the beginning of 2017/18, in addition to their 3-1 loss visiting Leicester this term, the Spurs win and both teams to score could well pay out again under a re-energized Mourinho.
