SHEFFIELD UNITED V ARSENAL ODDS AVAILABLE HERE!
Recent Form
Sheffield United have impressed on their return to the top flight, with Chris Wilder’s tactics making everyone sit up and take note.
Though their inconsistency has been frustrating at times, having pushed league leaders Liverpool all the way in their penultimate fixture, before playing out a 0-0 stalemate with lowly Watford, so it will be interesting to see which side turns up after the international break.
Arsenal themselves have had mixed results and performances this season but find themselves in third place after their narrow 1-0 win at home to Bournemouth in their last outing, though it’s their away form which still leaves a lot to be desired.
Indeed, the Gunners have won just four of their last 17 road games since December, and you’d be a brave man to back them to get all three here when they take on a plucky Blades side who have been impressive in their matches against other top sides Liverpool and Chelsea, while they narrowly lost to Brendan Rogers’ Leicester.
Moreover, they took four points from their clashes with Crystal Palace and Bournemouth who both reside in the top half of the table going into game week nine, so we’ll happily avoid the outright market on the grounds of unpredictability.
Over 2.5 Goals
Unai Emery’s charges have conceded two or more goals in four of their last seven trips, with all of Wolves, the Foxes and the Reds netting exactly three times, leading to many questions of their defensive capabilities.
Though with the return of Hector Bellerin and Kieran Tierney in the full back roles and Rob Holding another option for them in the centre, their defence is finally starting to look of the necessary standard, though it’s uncertain whether or not all three will start.
Moreover, the Blades have failed to register more than a single strike in six of their eight fixtures so far, with as many seeing a total of fewer than three strikes throughout, so we don’t see them exactly taking the visitors apart here.
In fact, each of their last three fixtures at Bramall Lane in all competitions have seen a maximum of just one goal and so we like the look of this one panning out in a similar fashion.
The North London outfit have only managed more than the solitary strike in three of their last 15 away appearances, two of which came against Watford and Huddersfield who both found themselves propping up the table at the time.
With both sides likely cautious of the other here, the ‘Unders’ market looks extremely tasty at a little over evens.
