Verona v Juventus
Juventus rescued a point with a controversial late penalty away at Inter last weekend, but a midweek defeat to another late goal hosting Sassuolo on Wednesday leaves them even further off the pace. Leaders Milan and Napoli are now 13 points ahead of Maxi Allegri’s side, and a trip to Verona is not a certain three points with the hosts taking a win and a pair of stalemates from the last three head-to-heads.
Verona head into this clash having only lost once in their past seven fixtures, coming on the road to Milan. This spell has even included home wins over both Roma and Lazio as they’ve shown an ability to compete with the top sides, and with both teams scoring in their past seven encounters with Juventus, they know they can cause their visitors some problems.
Both teams have scored in all five clashes Verona have had this season with the teams currently above them in the table, with each of these fixtures featuring a minimum of four goals. In fact, there’s been at least four strikes in eight of their 10 games in total, as only Milan and Inter have actually scored more goals than them this season.
Juventus have kept just two clean sheets from their past 24 league games since early March, with both teams scoring in 18 of these, so a shutout here would seem unlikely. Indeed, they’ve kept their opponents at bay just once from 14 league games on their travels since the start of February, with both teams scoring in eight of the past nine.

Inter Milan v Udinese
Following a trio of losses at the end of September, Udinese have steadied the ship with four consecutive stalemates, though they’re still without a clean sheet across this run. Inter kept their first clean sheet in five matches last time out away at Empoli, though this was only a second shutout in 12 appearances as the other came away to Shakhtar Donetsk in Europe, so neither side has been especially convincing at the back.
Both teams have scored in eight of Inter’s last nine league games and even on home turf, they’ve managed a solitary shutout in seven games here since the start of May. Moreover, both teams have scored in 16 of Udinese’s past 20 away days in league action, including 10 of the last 12. Even if Inter will expect to extract maximum points having won 18 of 20 unbeaten Serie A home games since the start of November, they will likely offer up a consolation prize to one of their visitor’s forwards.

Roma v AC Milan
Roma maintained their current position in the top four with a win away at Cagliari midweek, recovering from a pair of defeats against Juventus and Bodo/Glimt, as well as a stalemate hosting Napoli. The 6-1 loss to the Norwegian outfit can be partially excused given Jose Mourinho fielded a second-string side in that clash having already complained of a lack of squad depth, though those other results mean they’ve lost two of three winless clashes with their fellow top seven sides domestically this term.
Milan have won 13 of 15 unbeaten league games since the start of May, with Juventus the only side to take a point off them over the past 11 of these. This run has also included victories over Juventus, Atalanta (twice) and Lazio, as Stefano Pioli’s side are increasingly looking like mounting a serious title challenge.
Ante Rebic is still a doubt for the hosts, while Alessandro Florenzi, Mike Maignan, Junior Messias and Samu Castillejo remain sidelined. However, influential duo Theo Hernandez and Brahim Diaz should be available to start from the off having recovered from Covid-19. The latter has scored four goals and registered a further two assists in nine games across all competitions for Milan this term, and although they’ve still been picking up results in his absence, they haven’t been as fluid at the sharp end without him as neither Daniel Maldini or Rade Krunic has been able to link the play between the lines as effectively.
