They have named a strong squad for this international break too with the likes of Dusan Tadic, Luka Jovic, Alexander Mitrovic, Filip Kostic, Nemanja Maksimovic and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to name a few, and the visitors will have a job on their hands to keep them at bay.
Serbia To Beat Ireland
One thing you can be sure of, is the Republic of Ireland being incredibly hard to breakdown. Indeed, each of their last 18 competitive games have seen fewer than three goals dating back to October 2018, as they tend to adopt a more defensive minded approach due to their shortcomings in quality.
However, England did put three past them in a friendly at Wembley in November and when you consider they’ve failed to score now for an astonishing 660 minutes of football, their chances don’t look great.
The hosts haven’t exactly been watertight in their competitive matches though, conceding in all but two of their last 18 matches in Euro qualifiers and Nations League, so we’d rather avoid the win to nil market.
Instead, the solid bet of the fixture looks to be in backing the Serbians to get off to a storming start against a side that last tasted victory on the competitive stage back in June 2019 against 195th ranked side in the FIFA World Rankings, Gibraltar.
