These results are a good indicator of how this team can hold on despite playing a team with vastly better players, resources and staff, and while Scotland don’t nearly pose the capabilities of the French, they have proven tricky to beat in recent times.
Both teams to score has come off in seven of Ukraine’s last eight matches but this same bet only managed to win in three of Scotland’s last ten competitive fixtures. It must be said that four of these outings were against Moldova and the Faroe Islands which Scotland beat four times all-to-nil. If we exclude these games (because of the breadth of quality between the two teams) you can see that BTTS came off in three of their last six against competitive sides (Austria, Israel and Denmark).
