These two sides have already squared off three times in the past two years and they’ve been tight encounters, each winning by one-goal margins on home turf in the inaugural Nations League and playing out a draw here at Hampden Park in the current edition.
This time, a path to the Euros is at stake, with Norway or Serbia to come following this one-legged tie, but it would be a surprise if either team were able to settle this one comfortably.

Given both teams have scored in each of their last four matches now, combined with Israel’s consistent success in this market, a price hovering around evens appears to hold healthy value.
Scotland And Israel To Draw 1-1
Scotland haven’t enjoyed the ideal conditions to prepare for this clash with only eight players taking part in training on Monday, and Israel have shown themselves to be no pushovers.
Poland were the only side to send them to the cleaners during their Euro qualifiers, much like Scotland were pushed around by Belgium and more worryingly Russia, though the visitor’s record on the road gives cause for alarm.
Israel are a terrible W2-D1-L9 away from home since the start of 2017, with the two victories coming over minnows Liechtenstein and Latvia, so despite their draw at this same venue in their last road trip, we’d be reluctant to swing behind them on the Asian Handicap.
They haven’t appeared too dissimilar in their two games under new boss Willi Ruttensteiner so far, which they drew 1-1 with Scotland and Slovakia, and with each of their past five stalemates finishing that way the correct score could be worth paying attention to.
