To put that impressive tally into perspective, Liverpool have only managed 11 so far, so we expect there to be plenty of goalmouth action in this encounter.

That Salzburg haven’t gone down by more than a single strike in any of their clashes with Napoli or Liverpool should ensure that they’re not taken lightly.
However, they’re not challenged by any European behemoths domestically and it’s noticeable that when they faced top level opponents in pre-season, they were duly beaten by strong Real Madrid and Chelsea line-ups.
Liverpool To Win
Liverpool are certainly better at Anfield where they’ve lost just once across all competitions since the beginning of last season – to a late Eden Hazard strike in a League Cup defeat to Chelsea.
However, though they’ve suffered a number of defeats away from home in Europe, only one of them came against weak opponents (Crvena Zvezda) as the others were inflicted by Napoli (twice), PSG and Barcelona.
This season alone, Liverpool have won every game except a stalemate with Man City in the Community Shield, another in the UEFA Super Cup against Chelsea, a defeat away to Napoli, as well as further draws with Man Utd, Arsenal and Napoli. They’ve won the other 19 games, so it’s hard to look past the away win.
