A change in venue saw a collapse of the Rajasthan Royals’ batting line up as they could only manage a mere 137 runs.

The likes of Steve Smith and Sanju Samson could only muster 11 runs between them, but credit has to go where it is due and the Kolkata bowling attack certainly deserves all the plaudits coming their way.

Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Shivam Mavi and Pat Cummins gave the Royals all sorts of problems with the ball and they’re looking in a good position to go deep in this tournament.

Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Mumbai Indians in a dramatic super over in their last game to put them level at the head of the table with all of Delhi Capitals, Kolkata and their next opponents here, and we look set for an absolute cracker in this one.

Half-centuries from Devdutt Padikkal, Aaron Finch and AB de Villiers saw them surpass the 200 run mark and although Virat Kohli managed just three from 11 balls, his dip in form is only likely to be temporary given his quality.

RCB Highest Opening Partnership

Rajasthan Royals may have won each of the three meetings between the two sides since the start of 2018, but their performance last time out leaves a lot of questions marks over them.

In fact, we like the look of Bangalore openers Padikkal and Finch to have the highest opening partnership, as they both currently sit in the top 10 for the most runs in the tournament so far (as of 30/09/2020).

They’ll be up against the Royals’ duo of Smith and Jos Buttler, but the latter is yet to get more than 21 and at odds-against it seems the price is based more on the names than actual performances.
