Kings XI won the reverse of this fixture toward the back end of September by a whopping 97 runs which remains the greatest margin of victory so far this season from a first innings total.
However, that remains their only victory this campaign as they sit rock bottom of the table with just two points from seven fixtures, and their season could well be over with another defeat here.

Bangalore have made a really strong start with five wins form seven and are coming into this off back to back victories as they have well and truly shaken off some early cobwebs, especially in their top order.
AB de Villiers, Aaron Finch and Virat Kohli are among the best batsmen in the league, and are right at the top of their game managing 153 runs between them in the last match alone.
KXIP’s issues stand in the gulf between KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal and the rest of the side. Indeed, those two have scored 60.3% of their side’s runs this season alone as their bowlers have regularly failed to capitalise from strong positions.
Kings XI Highest Opening Partnership
On that basis we have to side with Kohli and co. to get the job done at a ground where big scores are the norm, though we’d like to get Rahul and Agarwal onside with the danger they pose.
They’ve managed a fifty opening partnership in four of their seven matches so far, converting two of those into hundreds. Finch and Devdutt Padikkal are less consistent with the bat, despite being able to post big scores, and we’ll go with Kings to get their innings off to the better start.
