Ross County are winless in their last eight outings, losing four of the last six, and so it’s hardly the ideal time for them to welcome the champions to Dingwall.
The Hoops battered the Highlanders 6-0 when they met at Celtic Park in October, while the last time Ross County featured at this level in 2017/18, their three encounters yielded an aggregate scoreline of 8-0 to the Glaswegians.

The 30 they’ve shipped this term is more than anyone else in the division, while only rock-bottom St. Johnstone (who have played a match less) have conceded more per game.

The bottom four in the table are all tied on 11 points, but excluding results against those sides, Ross County are W1-D2-L5 this season, as their opponents won by at least two clear goals in each defeat and by three or more in all but one.
In fact, they even conceded 11 times across the three of these fixtures on home turf, so it would be a real surprise if Celtic couldn’t carry a healthy handicap here.

With the visitors likely to rack up the goals, we turn our attention to those who might get onto the scoreboard. 28-year-old James Forrest has matured into a fine player over the past few seasons, registering 17 goals across all competitions both in 2017/18 and last term, while he’s well into double figures already this campaign. His increased output has also been evident for the national side, with all five of his Scotland goals coming since November last year.
In addition, he’s struck three goals and a further three assists in four encounters against Ross County dating back to 2017/18, while more recently he has five goals from as many league matches for Celtic.
