Romania Recent Form
Romania have enjoyed a fairly successful period under Cosmin Contra as they went unbeaten in Group C4 during the Nations League, with only Serbia bettering their W3-D3-L0 record by just two points.
In fact, since he took over at the start of October 2017 they’ve gone W11-D5-L2 from their 18 outings, although five of those victories did come from their six friendlies in that time.

On the other hand, Spain have gone through an extremely torrid time with former coach Luis Enrique having to step down due to the illness of his daughter, who sadly passed away last Thursday.
No doubt it’s a time in which Spanish football needs to come together and fight through as a team and we fully expect them to do just that.

Up against the top teams they’ve faced since the start of Euro 2016 – France, Switzerland, Poland, Denmark, Chile, Sweden and the Netherlands – they’ve gone W3-D3-L5, as all three victories came in friendly matches.
They did however find the net in eight of the 11 matches overall, offering up some slim hopes for this encounter.

The Romanians will fancy their chances of at least breaking the Spanish defence down seeing as they’ve netted 10 times across their last three. With the likes of George Puscas and Claudiu Keseru plundering seven of those strikes and in brilliant form, we’re confident they can at least get onto the scoreboard.
