Recent Form

Rangers squandered several chances before Leon Balogun’s own goal on the stroke of half time away at Brondby on Thursday, and although they found an equalizer, there must be a sense of disappointment as the result leaves them in a precarious position in their Europa League group.

Steven Gerrard will however be glad to have Ryan Kent back in the fold after a spell on the sidelines, with the winger bagging an assist from the bench, having been an integral part of the team last season as he produced 13 goals and 15 assists in all competitions.

The stalemate with the Norwegian outfit does leave the Gers unbeaten in seven appearances, while their only defeats from their past 18 fixtures have come in Europe against Lyon and Sparta Prague.

However, defensive troubles continue to plague them and they’ve managed just three clean sheets from 13 matches since the start of September, and just the solitary shutout from the past eight.

Ross County may have the worst record for goals conceded per game in this season’s top flight, but despite their position at the very bottom of the table, only the top three of Rangers, Celtic and Hearts have actually scored more goals.

They’ve only failed to net once in their past six outings, scoring at least twice in four of these, including a surprise 5-0 win away to second-from-bottom Dundee in their last appearance.

Rangers To Win And Both Teams To Score

Although a first league win of the season is welcome news for Malky Mackay’s side, they had lost their previous four games, leaving them W1-D3-L7 overall.

They conceded at least three times in five of those defeats, including clashes with Old Firm duo Rangers and Celtic, and in fact they’ve lost all 10 meetings with the Gers since 2017/18 – with Gerrard’s side netting at least four times in each of the past three clashes.

Rangers were completely dominant at Ibrox last term where they won every league game, but while they remain unbeaten there in 25 appearances, three of the last four have ended in stalemates.

They should get back to winning ways here, though their inability to find clean sheets at present suggests this could be another high-scoring affair.

Each of Ross County’s last three games have featured five goals, and they can at least register a consolation effort in what appears to be an inevitable defeat.

PREDICTION:

RANGERS TO WIN AND BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE
