A perfect start to the 2020 Indian Premier League for Rajasthan Royals has seen them beat both Chennai Super Kings and King XI Punjab.
Steve Smith and Sanju Samson hitting 50s in both games, while Rahul Tewatia looks a class act, and further down the order Jofra Archer has been hitting the headlines for his big sixes.
A slight concern will be the fact their bowling attack could only take two wickets between them last time out against Punjab, but their batting has saved them up to this point.
Kolkata Knight Riders bounced back well from their opening defeat to Mumbai Indians to record the biggest win of the tournament so far when downing the Sunrisers by seven wickets, but there’s a reason why the Hyderabad outfit are the only side yet to win a game.
The Knight Riders do look a bit bowler heavy with as many as seven options in that regard, and although Shubman Gill and Eoin Morgan have hit their stride, you’d have to be slightly worried about their depth with the bat in hand should a few early wickets tumble.
Rajasthan Royals To Win
RR managed the highest chase in IPL history to overcome their last opponents and although they’ll play their first game outside the Sharjah Stadium, it should prove a better surface for their bowling attack.
Of course, that will also play into the hands of Pat Cummins and co. for Kolkata, but we’re happy to get behind the unbeaten underdogs in what looks set to be a fascinating matchup.
