Spurs facing tough away game against bitter North London rivals
Few derbies compare to the North London matchup, with no love lost between Arsenal and Tottenham. The two sides have played each other 182 times since their first game in the Football League in 1909, with the Gunners winning 76 games compared to Spurs’ 57 victories. Kane and Able
Harry Kane goes into the game having netted twice in his last three games against Arsenal, with seven goals in eight appearances against them. The 25-year-old will be hoping to close in on Thierry Henry’s record in London derbies. Kane has scored 25 goals in 39 games played against teams in the capital. That ranks him sixth all-time and a hat-trick this weekend would see Kane draw level with Ian Wright and Jermain Defoe. If Tottenham are to beat Arsenal at Emirates Stadium they will have to end a run of nine consecutive home victories for the Gunners. With just one away win against Arsenal in 25 years, it will be a tough task for Kane and co but Spurs themselves have won six of their last seven away games so come into this game with good form on the road. Tight Affair
If recent games between the two sides are anything to go by, there could be very little between the teams on Sunday. Three out of the last four North London derbies at Emirates have finished 1-1. That same score line this weekend is available at 6/1 and you can double up on a low scoring game with under 2.5 goals at 13/10. At home, Arsenal have conceded more than once against Spurs on just four occasions in the last 25 meetings between the two sides. All signs point to a low scoring game.
Good Omen for Emery
In what is the first North London derby for Unai Emery in charge at Arsenal, his previous managerial record against Pochettino is very good. In six games against the Argentinian, Emery has four wins and just one loss. That defeat, however, came the last time the two managers faced each other in a heavy 4-0 hammering.
