It was a disappointing Monday night for Man Utd at Old Trafford against the Gunners, as a Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang equaliser in the 58th minute put even more pressure onto Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
It was probably a fair result in the end with neither side taking control of the game, but it does mean that the manager has now won just once from his last six outings, although that did come against a high-flying Leicester outfit.

They’ve only netted five times across these outings and never more than once in a single game, drawing with the two weakest sides they faced during that time in Huddersfield and Southampton.
Moreover, each of the three draws occurred within their last four such trips, all ending exactly 1-1, so we wouldn’t rule out a repeat of that.

The Magpies continue to be a hard side to break down at St James’ Park and we expect that to be the case again, especially with this Man Utd attack misfiring so badly.
Marcus Rashford appears shot of confidence and has just one goal from his last eight starts for club and country combined, while Mason Greenwood is yet to score a Premier League goal, even if he has netted in the Europa League and League Cup this term.
Ideally, Anthony Martial would fill the void but he still looks a serious doubt for this encounter and it certainly doesn’t look the sort of game to appeal to the neutral fan.
All four of Newcastle’s home games across all tournaments this season have seen a maximum of two goals, with half of them seeing just one or fewer and so it looks likely to go down that route again. The Magpies are without both Jonjo Shelvey and Isaac Hayden in the midfield, but they’ve actually conceded 19% fewer goals per game in the 17 matches the latter has failed to start since the beginning of last season.
