Recent Form
In one of the biggest games of the weekend, two top-four candidates will go head to head to make it two wins from two since the restart. The hosts ran out 3-1 winners in their last match away at Frankfurt, scoring twice in the opening seven minutes en route to victory, though their opponents’ backline looked extremely suspect that day and they’ll face a more resolute outfit in Leverkusen.
Victory for Gladbach here would keep them within touching distance of leaders Bayern, though given how tightly packed it is near the top, defeat would see them leapfrogged by Leverkusen and likely drop out of the top four altogether.
The visitors look to have carried over their form from prior to the break and have now won 10 of their last 11 unbeaten matches across all competitions, scoring a minimum of three in each of their most recent five victories.
It should be noted that the only draw in that run came against Leipzig, who currently separate these two in the table, while other than a thrilling 4-3 victory over Dortmund back in early February, the highest-placed German side they beat during this period were Union Berlin in 12th.

Leverkusen To Win And BTTS
While you can only beat what’s in front of you, the amount of goals they’re putting away remains impressive. In fact, they’ve averaged 2.9 per game over their last 10 outings and the likes of Kai Havertz and Moussa Diaby have hit the ground running since the break, so we wouldn’t bet against Peter Bosz’s side finding the net.
Monchengladbach are in a similar vein of form, losing just once from their past eight matches. However, the highest placed team they managed to take all three points off was 10th-placed Koln, losing to Dortmund and drawing with Leipzig in that run, while they’ve not been quite as prolific as their visitors here, averaging 1.9 from their last 10.
What is telling, however, is that they’ve managed to both score and concede in each of their last eight matches, as has been the case in each of their visitors’ seven road trips in 2020 when including European ties with Porto and Rangers, so the both teams to score market looks a shoo-in.
While this is a difficult matchup to call, we’re going to go against the grain on this one. Without a crowd at Borussia Park we can’t see the home advantage playing too much of a factor here, and it seems like Leverkusen’s young attack are starting to look more and more potent.

Kai Havertz To Score Anytime
Kai Havertz has seven goal involvements in his last five Bundesliga matches (four goals and three assists), while including all competitions the 20-year-old now has seven goals and six assists in nine appearances going back into February.
Given both the young German and Frenchman Moussa Diaby rank in the top nine for goal involvements in the Ruckrunde (second half of the Bundesliga season), as well as top seven for chances created and top five for dribbles completed, we think that just gives the visitors the edge in this clash.
