Celtic march on as they beat Aberdeen 2-1 to go five points clear of Rangers, but they could have made life easier on themselves.
They would have been out of sight by half time if not for some wasteful finishing, while Sam Cosgrove’s red card for the Dons released the pressure for the final 20 minutes.
St. Mirren’s draw with St. Johnstone was another example of how they’re efficient at taking points off other teams around them in the table.
They previously got one from the visit of Livingston the week before, in addition to victories over Hamilton, Ross County and St. Johnstone over the last couple of months.

Celtic have in fact scored exactly twice in six of their past eight league outings, including each of the last four and winning 2-0 in two-thirds of those wins, leaving both under 2.5 goals and the correct score at appealing prices.
That’s especially the case given three of four head-to-heads since the start of last season have seen fewer than three goals, with the past two meetings finishing 2-0.
