These two couldn’t be separated when they meet a week ago as they played out a goalless stalemate at Anfield.
United were well organized at the back and carved out the slightly better openings going forwards, but didn’t really do enough to deserve more than the point.
There’ll be a lingering frustration that they were unable to capitalize on Liverpool’s injury woes, but back at Old Trafford they’ll fancy themselves to manage at least a point.

10 of 12 head-to-heads at either venue since Klopp took the Liverpool job have seen fewer than three goals, including all four against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the Norwegian’s current post.
Klopp fielded midfielders Fabinho and Jordan Henderson in defence a week ago, but while the former has made a smooth transition to the back, the captain is a makeshift option there and both are missed in the middle of the park.
The visitors do at least have the injury prone Joel Matip back in the fold, with the centre-back Liverpool’s best player in the dispiriting defeat hosting Burnley midweek.

Liverpool’s 68-game unbeaten run at Anfield in the Premier League came to an end with that result, but more alarming is their form overall and in particular their inability to find the net.
The Reds have won just one of their past six outings (W1-D3-L2) when it took them until the second half to assert dominance over Aston Villa’s kids, as the senior camp was hit by an outburst of coronavirus.
Aside from that fixture, Liverpool have gone four games without a goal now, while Man Utd have become more solid at the back with Eric Bailly pushing Victor Lindelof hard for a first team place and Luke Shaw recapturing some form.
Solskjaer’s men have registered clean sheets in three of their last four outings, and while it remains to be seen how strong the line-ups will be with both managers primarily focused on the title race, Man Utd certainly appear to have momentum building.

The hosts have now won eight of their past 11 outings, scoring 20 goals, as only Man City were able to beat them in the League Cup.
