City have cruised to victory in their two latest games against Norwich and Sporting Lisbon with a combined score of 9-0 over the two games, which is impressive enough as is but when you factor in the fact that they were both away (in particular the Champions League game) it really puts into perspective how incredible this City team really is.
The Citizens will be hoping to improve from their first game and loss of the season against Tottenham which resulted in a 1-0 scoreline. Since that first game City have really shown what they are all about with an impeccable goal scoring record and also conceding very few in the meantime.
After Antonio Conte’s impressive nine-game unbeaten streak in the Premier League (PL), it finally came to an end when Spurs went to Stamford Bridge to play Chelsea and since then they have only tasted defeat in the PL with losses to Southampton and Wolves which were both home games for Tottenham.
This will be a huge match for Spurs and Conte because Nuno was sacked off the back of five losses from seven games and this is probably going to be the fourth loss in a row for Spurs which is something that Nuno didn’t ‘achieve’.
Over 4.5 Goals
The last time City lost in the Premier League was their massive upset against Crystal Palace, on the 30th of October, when Aymeric Laporte got sent off in the 45th which really stunted their chances of getting back into the game.
Since then, City have only lost one other game in all competitions which was away against RB Lepizig in a narrow 2-1 loss, but the Citizens have won the other 19 games and only drawn one other against Southampton. This run of form screams superiority over all other teams in the world.
Our bet today is certainly not for the faint-hearted but is fantastic value, in 33% (implied odds of 3.0) of Manchester City’s PL home games the result has ended with +4.5 goals and in 20% (implied odds of 5.0) of Tottenham games have had the same result and considering that City have scored nine goals in the past two games alone they are good money to get a lot of goals in this match.
Over 4.5 goals is currently being priced just under 5.0 so this stick out to us being the best value bet for this game.
