Recent Form
Leicester served up yet another thriller midweek and it’s becoming the norm after a series of ridiculously high-scoring affairs.
Indeed, since the start of October, 13 of their 16 appearances have produced at least three goals, including each of the past eight, with the latest 3-3 draw with Liverpool taking the recent tally to new heights.
10 of those same 16 games featured a minimum of four goals, including six of the past seven, with the last three outings alone yielding 15 strikes.
Man City are hardly short on firepower either, having put 11 past Leeds and Newcastle across their past two games, though they’ve been better at the other end and have now produced three clean sheets on the spin.
However, they had failed to shut their opponents out in their previous five games, so Leicester will fancy their chances of registering at some stage, especially having won 5-2 at the Etihad last term.
Man City To Win And Both Teams To Score
Leicester’s attack certainly isn’t suffering so much as their backline when it comes to absentees either. Jamie Vardy and James Maddison are in good form, with the former bagging two goals against Liverpool and the latter setting one of those up and adding the Foxes’ third goal himself.
Those two are ably supported by the likes of Patson Daka, Harvey Barnes, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Youri Tielemans, while Kelechi Iheanacho, Ayoze Perez and Ademola Lookman all made the bench against Jurgen Klopp’s side, having been expected to miss out.
However, further back the picture isn’t so good and Caglar Soyuncu, another of those who had been expected to miss out midweek, had to be withdrawn after an hour of play.
With Wesley Fofana and Jonny Evans absent, that will inevitably force Brendan Rodgers into another makeshift backline. Given the Foxes have conceded at least twice in five of their past six fixtures, it’s hard to see them keeping Man City’s stellar attack at bay.
The hosts are in ominous form having won 10 of their past 11 fixtures and also benefited from a rare break midweek, having been dumped out of the League Cup by the Hammers back in October.
This spell has included victories over the likes of Man Utd, PSG, West Ham and Steven Gerrard’s resurgent Aston Villa, as the only defeat was inflicted by RB Leipzig in a dead rubber European tie as Pep Guardiola’s men had already won their group.

MAN CITY TO WIN AND BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE
