MAN CITY, MAN UNITED AND CHELSEA ALL TO WIN AT 11/4!
Recent Form
Man City are yet to really get going this season but despite their 11th-place standing, they remain just three points shy of Leicester in fourth with a game in hand.
They recovered from the setback of losing to Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham with another drubbing of Burnley, and should be expected to finally win back-to-back league games for the first time this term.
A goalless stalemate away in Europe at Porto on Tuesday might have been frustrating, particularly with Gabriel Jesus’ late strike denied by VAR, but it was ultimately job done as Man City clinched first place with a game to spare.
They were also kept out by a fantastic performance from goalkeeper Agustin Marchesin and goals should be easier to come by at home to Fulham.
Man City -2.5 Asian Handicap
The Cottagers hold the worst defensive record at this stage having conceded almost two per game, despite a fairly kind fixture list so far as they’re yet to encounter Tottenham, Chelsea, Man Utd or Liverpool either.
They may be out of the relegation zone following a surprise win at Leicester, though they still conceded late on in that game as they’ve managed just one clean sheet from 10 appearances this season.
Even that came at home to fellow promoted outfit West Brom, so they’re unlikely to escape the Etihad unscathed.
Across all competitions, City have scored at least twice in all but two of their seven home games this season, with the exceptions coming against Arsenal and Liverpool.
Their last four at the Etihad have seen them bag three goals versus both Porto and Olympiakos, as well five against Burnley, while they looked the more likely team to go and find a winner when Jurgen Klopp’s champions visited.
In a further boost, Guardiola should have reasonably fresh legs available to him after he made seven changes for the team midweek and only used one of his substitutes.
With City’s next fixture beyond the weekend a dead rubber at home to Marseille, the likes of Aymeric Laporte, John Stones, Kyle Walker, Ilkay Gundogan, Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez should all come back into the side following a night off.
Meanwhile, Gabriel Jesus only came on as a second-half substitute and will expect to resume first team duties with Sergio Aguero still absent.
Man City -2.5 Asian Handicap At 49/50
