Steve Clarke will be encouraged by his side’s performance against the Netherlands on Wednesday, leading twice as Memphis Depay rescued the Dutch late on to spare their blushes.
That’s especially the case given they typically struggle for output, and Kevin Nisbet’s effort from the bench in just his second cap may have earnt him a place in the starting line-up for the first time here.
Nisbet managed 18 goals and eight assists domestically across all competitions for Hibernian this term, including strikes against both Celtic and Rangers.
Elsewhere, although the team appears short on goals, Scotland have netted in each of their past four outings now, scoring twice against Austria and thumping the Faroe Islands 4-0.

McGinn has a healthy 10 goals from 32 caps, all of which have come in his last 17 appearances for the national side, but Scotland will hope he keeps his powder dry ahead of the tournament with all 10 strikes coming in competitive matches.
Luxembourg only picked up four points in the Euro qualifiers, all against fellow minnows Lithuania. The World Cup qualifiers have started better for them as they recorded a shock win over an admittedly poor Ireland side, while they even took the lead against Portugal before normal service was resumed.

Still, they shouldn’t pose Scotland to many problems. They’ve now lost 14 of their past 19 matches following a 1-0 defeat to Norway on Wednesday, even if it was a stoppage-time goal from Erling Haaland that put them away.
They have gone into half time level in seven of their past eight though, as they’ll be aiming to frustrate Scotland for as long as possible.

Luxembourg failed to score in nine of those aforementioned 14 defeats, while their record in friendlies suggests they’ll fail to land a blow.
They’ve lost each of their past seven friendlies and scored just the single goal across these, as even that was registered against Liechtenstein.
Estonia thumped them 4-0 at the start of this sequence, but 1-0 losses to Northern Ireland, Qatar and Norway suggest this won’t be an especially high-scoring affair.
