LIVERPOOL, MAN CITY AND REAL MADRID ALL TO WIN AT 9/4
Recent Form
Liverpool were forced into more of a contest than they would have liked at the weekend when having to come from behind to beat winless Sheffield United at Anfield, and they’ll be back at home again for their European clash against Midtjylland on Tuesday night.
The Danish side are second in the league only by goal difference having recovered from a losing start to the season to win four of their next five unbeaten matches and as good as that is, there’s a huge leap up from the sides they face domestically and the Reds.
Jurgen Klopp’s men haven’t been scintillating this year by any stretch of the imagination, though they still remain a force at home going unbeaten at Anfield since September 2018 in all competitions over 90 minutes.
Liverpool To Win And Both Teams To Score
While they’ll have to deal with the absence of Virgil van Dijk, the Reds have been boosted by the return of Alisson last week.
However, that didn’t stop Sheffield United finding the net and they posed a big threat to Liverpool’s backline, especially in the first half.
Liverpool have kept just one clean sheet at home this season, with that coming in the League Cup with two largely second string sides going head to head, and although this seems like a bit of a mismatch we wouldn’t be too confident of a clean sheet here either.
In fact, since their run of seven consecutive home clean sheets last season, they’ve now kept just three in 11 games at this ground and Mitdtjylland might fancy themselves to grab one here.
After a slow start to the season, the Danish side have scored 12 goals in their last five matches, scoring at least twice in four with the exception coming against Atalanta last week. Anders Dreyer has netted in four of those games as well and he’ll be full of confidence heading into this.
We’d fully expect Liverpool to get the win here and take themselves on to six points, but they’ve not been convincing with their victories and without their star defender may lack a leader in the back four, so the match result with both teams to score looks a great way to get the hosts onside here at a very good price.
