Recent Form
Wigan secured their first victory in 14 outings on New Year’s Day as they downed 18th-placed Birmingham 3-2, though such a record hardly inspires confidence ahead of a visit to the high-flying Foxes.
Brendan Rodgers will likely engage in some heavy rotation, but the squad depth at Leicester has already been demonstrated this term, especially when they made nine changes from the defeat against Liverpool when beating West Ham at the end of last month.
Leicester To Win And Both Teams To Score
After a four-game winless run where they were held to stalemates by Norwich and then Everton in the Carabao Cup, as well as suffering defeats to both Man City and Liverpool, the Foxes have since recorded back-to-back victories.
That now leaves them with 11 wins from 15 matches since the October international break, with considerable firepower on display as they scored at least twice in each of those three-pointers.
Whilst Liverpool are the only side to better their defensive record this term, Leicester have only kept the single clean sheet in seven matches now.
They also conceded in their last encounter with a lower league team as they downed Burton Albion 3-1 in the Carabao Cup at the end of October. We expect something similar here, with Wigan – despite their poor form – still seeing both teams register on the board in eight of their past 10 outings.
Kelechi Iheanacho To Score Anytime
Jamie Vardy has been the main man for Leicester once again this season, but he missed out at the weekend with a tight calf and Rodgers won’t be taking any chances with his star forward here.
That should mean another start for Kelechi Iheanacho, who has a fantastic five goals from seven appearances this season despite completing 90 minutes just once, averaging a goal every 73.8 minutes he’s been on the field.
That includes strikes against lower league sides Luton and Burton Albion in the Carabao Cup, and appears ready to plug the gap.
0.5pts: Kelechi Iheanacho To Score Anytime At 8/15
Leicester To Win And Both Teams To Score At 6/5
