Recent Form

Leicester dended a run of four games without a win as they ran out 3-1 winners over Legia Warsaw on Thursday night, though Spartak Moscow’s victory over Napoli ensures they’re still one game away from qualifying for the knockouts.

Attention needs to turn to their domestic challenge now though, and they need to find some form quickly if they want to once again challenge for the Champions League spots.

Surprisingly, Watford can go above their opponents with a win here as Claudio Ranieri returns to the King Power.

The Italian is looking to put a similar stamp on this Watford side as he did on the Foxes, and while six points from his five games so far isn’t overly impressive, the fact that they’ve faced all of Arsenal, Liverpool and Man United suggests that Watford’s fortunes may be changing.

Both Teams To Score

The Hornets have lost five of their six matches against top-half sides, so with their hosts in 12th spot they’ll be hopeful of getting something from this game as they have a W3-D1-L2 record against current bottom-half outfits.

While the visitors are showing next to no consistency in front of goal at the moment, scoring nine in their five games under current management despite drawing a blank in three, Leicester’s defence looks notably vulnerable without Wesley Fofana there to shore things up.

Brendan Rogers’ charges have kept just one clean sheet in 18 matches since the opening day of the season, with that coming in the League Cup against Millwall, so expect Watford to at least net here.

The hosts have won to nil in each of the last four home meetings with Watford, though form would suggest we won’t see a repeat of that, while Watford have enjoyed success against Leicester in recent years.

Indeed, they’ve gone W3-D1-L4 over the last four seasons, even if all those points garnered did come at Vicarage Road.

Watford are coming off a high after beating Man United 4-1 in their last outing, and with the attacking talent of Josh King and Ismailla Sarr on display, who have nine goals between them this season, it’s hard to see them not finding the net so while the result may be somewhat up in the air, both teams to score looks banker material in this one.

PREDICTION:

BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE
