Recent Form

A monumental tussle given the circumstances that Leicester find themselves in. They sit two points clear of Chelsea in fourth and five ahead of West Ham in fifth, and a win in this encounter would go a long way to securing them a Champions League spot for next season.

They were left frustrated last time out against a 10-man Southampton outfit, having 23 shots to their hosts’ five, as well as 71% of the possession only to get a single point.

Newcastle’s four game unbeaten run came to an end against Arsenal at the weekend, meaning they’ve now lost 16 of their last 17 against the Gunners.

Their talisman Allan Saint-Maximin didn’t have the best of games and that usually tends to see the Magpies have a poor game too, as the winger dramatically increases their output when on the field.

This is another head-to-head that hasn’t gone the visitors’ way in recent seasons, losing 10 of their last 12 matches in all competitions against the Foxes, including a 5-0 hammering last season at King Power Stadium.

You only have to look at Leicester’s performances against the current bottom eight sides this campaign to know why they’re at such a short price.

They’ve won 11 of their 15 such outings this term, including seven victories from their last nine unbeaten games, conceding just five times.

A large part of their push towards the end of this campaign has been down to the blistering form of Kelechi Iheanacho.

The Nigerian international has 12 goals and three assists from his last 10 outings in all tournaments, only failing to have a contribution against what has been by far the best defence in the league this term, Man City.

James Maddison To Score Anytime

We’d prefer to look the way of James Maddison though in the goalscoring betting at a slightly bigger price. The midfielder is instrumental to this side and has made a knack of scoring against the Magpies in recent times.

He’s netted in each of his last three games against them in all competitions since the start of last season and having just got his first 90 minutes under his belt since his injury, looks a good value option to get on the scoreboard.

He had eight goal contributions in nine games prior to getting injured and having had as many as six shots last time out, he looks back to full flow.

Winning Margin – Leicester by 2

Steve Bruce’s charges against the current top four are yet to pick up a single point from their six such outings this term, only once coming within a single strike in the reverse fixture at St James’ Park.

Indeed, on the road they’ve lost by exactly two strikes in all three of their trips, and considering that’s also been the case in three of their last four defeats against all teams, we’ll have a little flutter on that.

0.5 Pts: Winning Margin – Leicester By 2 At 3/1

James Maddison To Score Anytime At 7/5
