Three defeats from their past five outings in all competitions has hardly derailed Leicester’s seasons completely, with Brendan Rodgers’ men still sitting pretty at third in the table, eight points clear of nearest challengers Chelsea.
Late concessions within the final 10 minutes of those losses proved the Foxes’ downfall, though Frank Lampard’s Blues have also suffered from late efforts.
Indeed, Chelsea’s last three matches have seen them lose out at St. James’ Park to Isaac Hayden’s 94th-minute strike, throw away two points at Stamford Bridge against 10-man Arsenal as Hector Bellerin equalized in the 87th minute, while Hull put them under pressure last weekend in the FA Cup as they bagged a consolation 12 minutes from time.

There’s now been at least one goal in the 76-90 minute range in 12 of Chelsea’s last 14 road trips across all tournaments, while 11 of Leicester’s last 13 at the King Power have seen at least one effort at 73 minutes or later.
The stalemate hosting the Gunners means that Chelsea are now a rather disappointing W2-D2-L4 up against the ‘Big Six’ or Leicester for the season in all competitions.
Each of those defeats saw them trail at the break, though given Leicester have lost three of four winless encounters with fellow top-four sides this term, going in behind at the half-time whistle in each of them, we wouldn’t want to back either team in the outright.
Leicester’s defence hasn’t seemed quite so solid recently as they only hold the third best record in the division now, while Man City have only shipped three more despite missing key centre-back Aymeric Laporte for the bulk of the season.
The Foxes’ only clean sheets in 14 appearances since early December have come against Newcastle and lower-league opposition Wigan and Brentford in the FA Cup, with both teams finding the net in 10 of these games.
The visitors may also have seen both teams to score land in 12 of 15 road trips dating back into August across all tournaments, but at the prices we’d leave that market alone.
However, with the potential for this match to see plenty of action, the goalscorers market is worth paying attention to. Chelsea’s hunt for a marksman goes on with Tammy Abraham still sidelined with an ankle problem, though rather than another of their players, it’s one of Leicester’s contingent that catches our attention.

Jamie Vardy is back in action as he returned midweek against Villa from the bench, though with just one strike in six league appearances now we’d rather avoid him, while his presence should reduce replacement Kelechi Iheanacho to the bench, despite the Nigerian being in fine fettle.
Instead it’s winger Harvey Barnes that gets our backing after an explosive start to 2020. The 22-year-old has knocked up three goals and an assists from five appearances so far, as he’s come on leaps and bounds under Rodgers’ tutelage.
