The transfer window is ticking along and Newcastle are yet to address a glaring concern at centre-back, though will hope to have landed Sevilla’s Diego Carlos by the time this game comes around.
So far, Kieran Tripper and Chris Wood are the only new arrivals, but while both provide Premier League experience and can be expected to roll up their sleeves for a relegation scrap, the lack of goals for the latter this season has to be a worry as Eddie Howe seeks to increase his side’s output.
