Neither of these sides have hit the heights they would have hoped for this season, with Leeds languishing down in 17th place and Leicester also residing in the bottom half of the table.
The Foxes also wasted several chances in a draw with Spartak Moscow on Thursday, including a missed penalty, though Brendan Rodgers should at least have some players returning for this encounter.

Even those league wins came by narrow one-goal margins, while their defensive efforts have hardly been impressive either. Excluding results against lower-division teams, Leeds have registered just a solitary clean sheet from 11 appearances this season.

In the league alone, Leicester have won just two of their past seven matches, though they have been more stable of late with a single defeat across the last five, coming against a resurgent Arsenal with an inspired Aaron Ramsdale between the sticks.
The Gunners’ keeper helped keep the scores down, but the Foxes’ previous five league appearances all featured a minimum of three goals.
In fact, 14 of Leicester’s past 18 league games going back into April have seen at least three goals, while recent meetings with Leeds have also been thrilling affairs.
Both head-to-heads last term contained a minimum of four goals, as did their previous encounter in the 2017/18 League Cup, and it would be a surprise if there weren’t opportunities at both ends once more.
Marcelo Bielsa should also benefit from returning players and even if this clash comes too soon for Patrick Bamford, there’s still a decent attacking unit of Raphinha, Rodrigo and Daniel James available.
Crucially, the hosts will benefit from the returns of full-backs Luke Ayling and Junior Firpo, with the duo sorely missed in recent weeks, and they should help add extra thrust from the wide areas.
