Ireland will be hopeful of all but confirming their place in the quarters with victory over hosts Japan on Saturday, which would see them with two wins from their opening two with just Samoa and Russia left to play.

With tries very much on the cards for both sides, it’s hard to look past Kotaro Matsushima to add to his hattrick against Russia.
The winger is on fire at the moment having scored nine tries in his seven outings since the start of 2018, including touchdowns against Italy, Fiji and South Africa - the best teams they faced in that period - and with his side favouring running rugby, he’ll get plenty of opportunities.
