Ireland currently sit second in the Six Nations standings, though it’s France in third who are the only team that can catch Wales at the top, with only pride at stake for this game.

England’s last gasp win against France will have done a world of good for confidence, as the French have been looking the strongest, they have done for a while now.

However, one tree doesn’t make a forest and we’d be reserved about believing that win negates the poor performances we’ve seen of late from Eddie Jones’ men.

Despite that win, England have now failed to cover the handicap line in any of their last eight matches, and that doesn’t bode well when going into this game.

Ireland 1-12 Point Winning Margin

Ireland have lost the last four head-to-heads with England, though it should be noted that three of those matches came at Twickenham, and on home soil they’re a much harder side to beat.

They’ve now won 21 of their last 23 matches at the Aviva Stadium since losing to New Zealand in 2016, and although a lack of fans will certainly play it’s part in this game, England look far too short and it’s worth getting the hosts onside in some capacity.

Elliott Daly comes into the centres to replace the injured Henry Slade and will make only his fifth England appearance in the centres, though aside from that there are no changes to the England starting XV.

Ireland have tinkered a lot more, making six changes from the side that beat Scotland last weekend, with Jacob Stockdale the most notable inclusion on the wing, and he could cause the visitors some problems here, and at the prices it certainly seems like the value is with Ireland, though with the game destined to be a close and hard-fought contest, the winning margin adds that extra bit more.

Ireland 1-12 Point Winning Margin At 11/5
