CHELSEA, VALENCIA AND LIVERPOOL ALL TO WIN AT 10/1 MAX BET £10!

Recent Form

This is an interesting matchup between two teams that are just behind the level of their main domestic rivals, with Inter having closed the gap on Juve this season under the impassioned Antonio Conte, while Dortmund continue to entertain in Lucian Favre’s second season at the helm.

Both sides secured narrow wins at the weekend, with braces from both Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku sealing a 4-3 win for the Italians over Sassuolo, while Dortmund were involved in an uncharacteristically low-scoring affair as they downed league leaders Gladbach 1-0.

Over 2.5 Goals

We’d certainly expect more goals than that latter game in this clash. Dortmund, and in particular the experienced Mats Hummels, can count themselves very fortunate to have kept a clean sheet, somehow surviving a huge penalty call while centre-back partner Manuel Akanji’s form has dipped in recent weeks.

At the other end, Dortmund’s productivity will undoubtedly be boosted by the return of Jadon Sancho, who missed the weekend fixture following an internal suspension for arriving back late from international duty.

Despite that 1-0 win, seven of Dortmund’s last 10 matches have still seen at least four goals, with their scintillating attack hindered by a porous defence as they’ve conceded the most goals amongst the current top eight in the Bundesliga this term.

Meanwhile, each of Inter’s last four across all competitions have seen a minimum of three strikes, though they’ll have been disheartened to have lost via late efforts in 2-1 defeats against both Barcelona and Juventus.

Inter Milan To Win

Perhaps unsurprisingly for a former defender, Antonio Conte’s teams have often been marked by their defensive prowess, with both his Juve and Chelsea sides keeping plenty of clean sheets.

However, failure to beat Slavia Prague on the opening day, coupled with a defeat at the Nou Camp, means that Inter already trail both of their group rivals by three points.

That leaves them in practically must win territory if they’re to claim a top two finish, which aligned with home advantage, should see any suggestion of a cautious approach abandoned.

There’s good reason for the Nerazzurri to press forwards too, as since 2013/14, Italian teams are W5-D2-L1 hosting German outfits in the Champions League, with two of the three negative results occurring on the only two occasions where Bayern were involved.

Dortmund have struggled in recent years on their travels in Europe to the better outfits, going just W1-D2-L6 against Real Madrid, Benfica, Monaco, Spurs, Atalanta and Atletico Madrid since 2016/17, with that sole win over Monaco last term coming as the French outfit had serious relegation concerns domestically.

Inter Milan To Win 2-1

However, Inter are not in the habit of thrashing teams but getting the job done under current management, while they’ve not been particularly gung-ho in recent times.

Seven of their last eight wins in European competition dating back to December 2014 have come by a margin of just one goal, with the exception in the Europa League against Rapid Vienna, leaving the 2-1 correct score at an appetising price.

1pt Over 2.5 Goals At 5/6

1pt Inter Milan to Win At 11/8

0.5 pts Inter Milan 2-1 Correct Score At 17/2
