Recent Form
Celtic are slowly rebuilding their form and are unbeaten in four across all competitions prior to clashes with bottom-two outfits Ross County and Hamilton either side of Christmas.
That should provide the Hoops with the platform to go on and gather some momentum ahead of visiting Rangers at Ibrox in early January, which feels like a must win game if they’re to claim that 10th successive league title.
Both Teams To Score
Neil Lennon’s men haven’t actually been too bad going forwards and although not quite keeping pace with Rangers in that department, it’s at the back where they’ve struggled badly.
Both teams have scored in 11 of their past 14 matches in all competitions, while Celtic have conceded twice or more in 11 of their last 15.
Over 3.5 Goals
Away from home, both teams have scored in each of Celtic’s last six in all competitions, with both sides netting twice in as many as four of these games.
All six featured a minimum of four goals, and there’s good reason to think this clash could also feature a high output.
Hamilton hold the worst defensive record in the division, prior to their own midweek clash hosting Livingston, shipping 40 goals across 18 games.
However, they’ve outgunned all the other bottom-half sides, netting 21 times, as they don’t often draw a blank.
Across all competitions, they’ve failed to score in just two of 17 matches since September, with one of those an 8-0 thrashing at Ibrox to Rangers, so goals should very much be on the agenda here.
Indeed, both teams have scored in each of the past three head to heads, with Celtic winning the two meetings this calendar year 4-1 and 5-1.
Hamilton are just W2-D3-L9 at home in the league going back to Boxing Day last year, with over half of those defeats also featuring a minimum of four goals, so it would be no surprise to see a similar outcome here.
Odsonne Edouard To Score Anytime
With goals a distinct possibility, various strikers present themselves in the goalscorer markets, but we’d give the nod to Odsonne Edouard.
The Frenchman has consistently been linked with big clubs and is destined to leave Scottish shores before too long, but he could have a big role to play in the Hoops’ 10 in a row quest.
He went off the boil for a couple of months between mid-September and mid-November, but after suffering from a bout of coronavirus, looks more akin to his old self.
He’s scored in each of Celtic’s last three on the road, as well as five times across the last two meetings with Hamilton.
