Sale Away Form In Question
Sale have come on leaps and bounds in recent times, reaching the semis of last year’s Challenger Cup, topping their pool and impressively beating Irish side Connacht in the quarter finals.
Their away form, however, has raised some questions with just their second away win in nine games this calendar year coming a few weeks ago against a lowly London Irish side, while their last was back in February against an equally poor Wasps side who finished fifth-from-bottom, so they’ll be hard pressed to get something in Glasgow this weekend.
Warriors Patchy Start To The Season
The Warriors currently sit fourth in Conference A having of the Pro14 with three wins and three defeats from their opening six games, making a mediocre start to defend the top spot they achieved last season, and will be looking to go one better on the domestic front than their runner-up position to Leinster last season in the play-off final.
On the continental stage, they were dealt a terrible hand having to go to battle against eventual winners Saracens in their group, before qualifying in second and having to face the same London outfit again in the quarters, so they’ll fancy their chances to go better this time round.
The Scottish outfit have made something of a fortress of their home ground Scotstoun, winning nine of 10 here this calendar year with their recent narrow loss to the Scarlets their only defeat in that time, though the outright market looks to be quite short, as could be expected.
Glasgow -4 Handicap
Instead, the handicap sits at just -4 points, and with Glasgow having covered that in eight of those nine aforementioned home wins, that market takes our fancy.
By contrast, the Manchester based club have lost five of their nine trips in 2019 by more than that margin, including a 40-point hammering against the best team they faced in that period Northampton, so we’ll take the hosts to cover that given their pedigree.
Glasgow -4 Point Handicap At 10/11
