Recent Form

Fulham’s disappointment at being held to a goalless stalemate at struggling Middlesbrough will have been tempered by the fact that they held their own, despite playing the vast majority of the game with 10 men after goalkeeper Marek Rodak was sent off after just 17 minutes.

The Cottagers don’t tend to keep many clean sheets, with that just their fourth from 14 matches this season, but they sacrificed their attacking instincts on that occasion with the change in circumstance and now sit just one point off the play-off spots.

However, back to 11 men on the field they can be relied upon to revert to type and we wouldn’t expect them to produce another shutout here.

Each of those four clean sheets they’ve acquired have come against teams below Hull in the table, while the Tigers have been in good-goalscoring form as they’ve netted at least twice in six of their last eight outings – including each of the past three.

Jarrod Bowen To Score Anytime

Hull striker Josh Magennis received a four-game ban for his sending off versus Nottingham Forest recently, but Jarrod Bowen stepped up to the plate in his absence to score both goals against Derby last weekend.

The wide man now has nine in 15 appearances across all competitions this term, including an impressive four in Hull’s last three outings. Given Bowen has netted both times when facing Fulham in the past (during the 2017/18 Championship season), while Hungarian forward Norbert Balogh is a doubt having injured his calf against Forest on his debut, the 22-year-old looks a tantalizing prospect to hit the target again.

Aleksandar Mitrovic To Score Anytime

Fulham have their own goal threat in red hot form. Aleksandar Mitrovic took like a duck to water in the Championship when he first signed for the hosts prior to their promotion to the Premier League.

He’s now bagged 23 in 31 matches in this competition since January 2018, including 11 from 14 this term (seven from seven at Craven Cottage).

Certainly, the potential for goals between these two sides exists and is reflected in the odds, which is perhaps no surprise given six of seven head-to-heads since 2013/14 have seen at least three strikes, with over half of them featuring a minimum of four.

Draw And Both Teams To Score

The hosts start the game as favourites having only lost once in their past nine outings, though they did draw over half of these games, while on home turf alone, their only dropped points have come against top-half opposition.

However, with Hull finding the roots of some form with victories over Forest and Derby in their last two fixtures, and with Fulham’s odds unappetizing, we’d steer well clear of backing Scott Parker’s side to claim the spoils.

Instead, it’s the score draw that catches our attention. 19 of Hull’s last 20 stalemates across all competitions dating back to April 2018 have seen both teams find the net, including each of the past 11, as did all five draws they had in pre-season games over this period too.

Meanwhile, eight of Fulham’s 10 stalemates since the start of last season have also seen both teams register, including four of five this term.

Draw And Both Teams To Score At 15/4

Jarrod Bowen To Score Anytime At 11/5

Aleksandar Mitrovic To Score Anytime At 3/4
