Watford’s only victories this season have come in this competition, but although on both occasions they came against teams outside the top flight, this is an opportunity for them to get a morale boosting result over a side that essentially nabbed their former coach.

Their attacking options have also taken a blow with Bernard ruled out with knee ligament damage, while Moise Kean and Cenk Tosun have failed to deliver the goods this season.
