Those two defeats on the road came at Old Trafford and the Etihad, while the stalemate was in the Champions League at Valencia, so they look like they’ll take some beating, which we doubt the hosts are capable of.
The Toffees have now lost three games on the bounce as even woeful travellers Norwich got in on the act just a fortnight ago, so we’re struggling to get positive about their chances.
In fact, dating back to mid-September they’ve lost eight of their 11 outings, with their only two victories coming against underperforming outfits West Ham and Southampton.

The hosts do possess some strong attacking options though, which has seen them find the net in six of their last seven outings at all venues, scoring as many as 10 goals of their own.
However, it’s come at a cost down the other end, conceding in all but one of those games as they leaked 14.
To further the point of expecting a high output, Chelsea have seen both sides get onto the scoreboard in each of their past six league trips and we’d be very surprised to not see a repeat of that.

Interestingly, Lampard’s men have broken the deadlock first all six of those aforementioned away days and we’re expecting them to have another fast start.
By contrast, Everton have conceded first in four of their last five at Goodison Park and so we fancy Chelsea to take the initiative in this one.

Further to that bet, we’d like to add Tammy Abraham to be the man to get on the scoreboard first.
Indeed, seven of the eight games he’s found the back on the net in this term across all tournaments have seen him do exactly that, and he looks great value at the prices.
