Furthermore, the Toffees won this exact fixture 1-0 last season and so they’ll be confident of backing that up again this time around.
However, considering the Gunners have only lost three of their 12 trips this term across all tournaments, with those coming against Liverpool, Sheffield Utd and Leicester as they drew half of them, we’d be cautious of backing the hosts to take maximum points.
Instead, given the visitors conceded the first of the game in 75% of their eight league trips, while the Toffees have netted the first of the game in both the last two head-to-heads here, as well as both of Ferguson’s two Premier League matches, that looks the way to go.
